Kupar Driver Cuts Hair For Cancer
May 25, 2009

David Craig has been employed with Kupar Enteprises driving for Mortrans Inc. since April 2st 2007. Although David enjoys driving OTR he is also owns property in Ontario where he spends much of his free time managing the wildlife and forestry for this property. When he is not working in his truck or on his property you will find David touring the country on his vintage Harley Davidson motorcycle. About a year ago David went to his hairdresser to get his hair cut only to find out that the woman that has been cutting his hair for the past several years was off work on a medical leave due to cancer. After doing some research on donating to the Cancer Society, David decided that he would grow his hair out (now 10 inches long) and cut it so it can be donated to make a wig for other cancer patients. It takes 8 people with hair as long as David’s to make a wig for cancer patients. He has recently found out that his hairdresser is on the mend and would be returning to work. Upon her return David dropped by the shop and talked to her about donating his hair and asked if she would want to do the cut. David and his hairdresser did the cut on Saturday May 23rd, 2009 at 11:00 am. See photo that follows this write up. What great news, another cancer survivor and it’s because of many many people just like David wanting to help in any way they can. If you would like to donate to the Canadian Cancer Society please visit www.cancer.ca

New Provincial Holiday
January 29, 2008

The Ontario government has created a new Provincial public holiday called Family Day. This will fall on the third Monday in February and for 2008 that will be the 18th.

Adding Family Day to the calendar gives Ontario (provincial) workers and families a total of nine public holiday per year, putting them on par with Federally regulated workers.

As a Federally regulated workplace we fall under the Canada Labour Code and you already receive 9 statutory holidays.
